Dan Gibbs

"I will bring common sense to the Capitol to fight for our quality of life."

Whether it's fighting fires as a Wildland Firefighter or building bipartisan consensus as our state Senator, Dan Gibbs has proven he will get the job done for State Senate District 16 - which spans both sides of the Continental Divide, from mountain communities, through the foothills, down to the front range.

Dan Gibbs' Colorado roots are in Gunnison, where he enjoyed the outdoors and participated in his community at a young age. Dan's family shared the values of life-long learning and community service, which influenced Dan to pursue a career in public service and community improvement.

Dan is a resident of Summit County, Colorado and served as Director of U.S. Congressman Mark Udall's Western Slope office in Minturn, covering many of the same areas he serves today.

Dan is looking to continue his public service. He served one session in the Colorado State House of Representatives before being elected by the vacancy committee to fill the State Senate seat being vacated by former Senate President Joan Fitz-Gerald. He looks forward to continuing his work fighting for his district and getting the job done for the Heart of Colorado.
